ODYSSEY EXPOSITIONS TO DEBUT HUGE DAYTON BOAT SHOW IN JANUARY 2006
No longer will people have to travel to Columbus or Cincinnati to dream of summer days spent on the water! Odyssey Expositions, the nation’s largest producer of regional RV shows, will produce the all-new Dayton Boat Super Show in first quarter of 2006, according to Rob Lynch, president of the company based in Sarasota, Florida.
The massive consumer event will be staged over two weekends at the Expo Center at Dayton International Airport, January 27 – 29 and February 3 – 5, 2006. This new regional event will follow the two weekends of the Dayton RV Super Show next January, also at the Expo Center.
While producing primarily RV shows in the Midwest and Southeast, Odyssey has produced a number of large boat shows as well, including events in Cincinnati and Tampa, Florida.
Lynch feels the Dayton market is ripe for a boat show on the level of his annual regional RV shows. "We have had such tremendous success with how we build and present our RV shows in Ohio that it was hard for us to say 'no' when the best marine dealers in southern Ohio asked us to stage a boat show of similar magnitude."
Odyssey Expositions broke all Ohio RV show attendance records with the two-weekend Dodge RV Super Show in January of this year. The company will produce eight RV events in Ohio, Kentucky, Alabama and Florida in 2005.
"I would expect that our 2006 boat show will draw over 12,000 boating enthusiasts over the two weekends next winter," Lynch continued. In addition to a myriad of boats on display, consumers will enjoy a multitude of other attractions at the Dayton Boat Super Show, including fishing seminars given by national and local pros, and water skiing and wakeboard seminars presented by national pros.
The show will also feature an Extreme Sports Theater and offer free rods and reels to children.
