2006 Dodge Dayton Boat Super Show – Huge Success
The inaugural Dodge Dayton Boat Super Show finished its two- weekend run Sunday with exhibitors gasping for breath.
A Dayton boat show record of more than 13,000 saw the latest models of boat and watercraft.
Show promoter Rob Lynch of Odyssey Expositions said more boats were sold during the six - day show run than any
previous Dayton event. "It was a whirlwind six days, but the end results were huge for the dealers and show attendees."
"Every one of the 25 dealers signed a contract for next year, with several expanding their display areas", said Lynch.
"No previous Dayton show has attracted as many dealers or boats". "In fact," stated Lynch, "I believe one of the reasons
for the show’s success was that we had every make and model watercraft available in Southwest Ohio at the Expo Center".
"We received rave reviews from both dealers and attendees for the professional show layout and easy access the Dayton
Expo Center provides," continued Lynch.
Show dates for 2007 will be January 26th – 28th and February 2nd – 4th.
One of the many successful promotions was the give-away of a free rod and reel to children 16 and under. We had some
supply problems the first weekend due to the tremendous crowds, but eventually ended up giving away more than 1,500
of the combos. "We will definitely do the promotion again next year," said the Florida based show producer.
Odyssey also gave away a $15,000 G3 Eagle 165 Bass Boat worth $15,000. Chuck Shaw of West Milton was the excited winner.
Odyssey Expositions is also the nation’s largest producer of regional RV Shows and produces the annual
Dodge Dayton RV Super Show.
