Odyssey Expositions to debut HUGE Toledo Boat Show in Jan 2008

 

No longer will people have to travel to Cleveland to dream of summer days spent on the water!  Odyssey Expositions, the nation’s largest producer of regional RV shows, will produce the all-new Toledo Boat Super Show in first quarter of 2008, according to Rob Lynch, president of the company based in Sarasota, Florida.

The massive consumer event will be staged at the Sea Gate Center, January 4 - 6, 2008.  This new regional event will feature fishing boats, runabouts, pontoons, ski boats, cabin cruisers, and personal watercraft.

Lynch feels the Toledo market is ripe for a boat show on the level of his other regional RV shows.  “We have had such tremendous success with how we build and present our RV and boat shows in Ohio that it was hard for us to say ‘no’ when the best marine dealers in the area asked us to stage a boat show.”

The company will produce seven RV and boat events in Ohio, Alabama and Florida in 2007, and a total of nine shows in 2008, including one in Kentucky. 

“I would expect that our 2008 Toledo Boat Super Show will draw over 12,000 boating enthusiasts,” Lynch said.  “Our success with RV and boat shows is a product of hot markets, quality productions, comprehensive and innovative marketing plans, and top-notch venues.  We feel the inaugural Toledo Boat Super Show will provide the boating enthusiast with an unmatched opportunity to compare models, makes, and options side-by-side, from a fourteen-foot jon boat to a forty-foot cabin cruiser, all in a facility and environment unparalleled in the Toledo area.” 

In addition to a myriad of boats on display, consumers will enjoy a multitude of other attractions at the Toledo Boat Super Show, including fishing seminars given by top national and regional pros such as Roland Martin and Dan Armitage.  The show will feature a massive 10,000 gallon hog trough for fishing demonstrations.  The Toledo Boat Super Show will also offer free rods and reels to children, and attendees will have the chance to win a new boat.

Show hours for the 2008 event will be 1 to 9 p.m. on Friday, January 4; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, January 5; and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, January 6.
